It is exactly the variety which was produced at the beginning of this century in St-Prex but had been abandonned since because it had not a big return. Later on, it gave its name to the red wines from the "Canton de Vaud".
In the 60's, P.-A. Tardy heard about this variety and decided to produce it again. After 20 years of patience, the first grapes came and the first bottle of wine was made in 1984.
This wine is now matured in tonnels.
