The following data collection is the outcome of a relatively early attempt to survey iconic materials supporting in one or another theoretical angle, the importance of fibroconstructive technology. Evidently, there are a lot of sources secondary and primary, the latter particularly in ethnology, exclusively secondary in the history of architecture and art. Three points support the assumption that fibroconstructive industries were existent and played an important role.
1) the enormously wide diffusion of formal elements alluding to a fibroconstructive past (e.g. the plant ornament in probably all cultures, important relic or decoration?) and further,
2) its strong relations with the high values of any society (religion, worldview, harmony). It appears in a triple domain of religion, philosophy, architecture and art even social. In regard to material and form, its charcteristics were not devalued as we would do in the West, even today (fetish) but in the contrary most highly valued, mainly because it survived in a complex context guarded by strict traditions. Everybody understood the texture as something primordial.
